Devil's Food Cake

Ingredients

• 2 cups brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 3 cups flour
• ½ cup boiling water
• ½ cup sour cream
• ½ cup butter
• ½ cup grated chocolate
• 1½ teaspoons baking soda

Method

1. 1 Dissolve baking soda in boiling water and pour over the chocolate; let cool.
2. 2 Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs and mix well.
3. 3 Stir in the chocolate mixture, sour cream, and flour until combined.
4. 4 Pour batter into pans and bake in layers.
