Deep Fried Potato Ribbon Chips
Ingredients
- large smooth potatoes, peeled
- vegetable oil for frying
- salt
Method
- 1 Peel potatoes and slice them into continuous spirals about 1/8 inch thick.
- 2 Keep the potato spirals covered with a damp napkin until ready to fry.
- 3 Place the spirals in a frying basket and fry in very hot oil until light straw colored.
- 4 Remove from oil, sprinkle generously with salt, and serve immediately.
