Deep Fried Beef And Rice Balls

Ingredients

  • cold cooked beef, chopped fine
  • 1 slice onion, chopped fine
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • a little lemon juice
  • parsley, chopped
  • ¼ amount of boiled rice or bread crumbs relative to meat
  • 1 beaten egg
  • water, as needed
  • oil for deep frying

Method

  1. 1 Chop fine cold cooked beef and a slice of onion.
  2. 2 Season with salt, pepper, a little lemon juice, and parsley.
  3. 3 Add boiled rice or bread crumbs equal to one-quarter the volume of the meat.
  4. 4 Mix in one beaten egg and sufficient water to form a paste.
  5. 5 Form the mixture into balls and fry in deep fat until golden.
