Date Ginger Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 cup Crisco
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sour milk
- 1 teaspoon powdered cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon powdered ginger
- 1 cup stoned chopped dates
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
Method
- 1 Cream Crisco and sugar thoroughly together.
- 2 Add well-beaten eggs, rolled oats, dates, salt, spices, and baking soda dissolved in milk.
- 3 Mix in flour until combined.
- 4 Drop spoonfuls onto greased baking sheets.
- 5 Bake in a 350°F oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
