Curried Split Pea Stew
Ingredients
- 1 cup split peas
- 1 onion
- 1 tsp curry powder
- water
- rice for serving
- acid (such as lemon juice)
Method
- 1 Soak split peas for 2-3 hours, then drain.
- 2 Fry chopped onion and curry powder in a pan.
- 3 Add soaked peas and plenty of water to the pan.
- 4 Cook until peas are soft enough to mash into a pulp.
- 5 Serve the curry over rice with a side of acid.
