Curried Rice With Onion Butter Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup rice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 slice onion
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- salt to taste
Method
- 1 Boil rice rapidly for 30 minutes, then drain in a colander and place in a warm oven for a few minutes to dry out.
- 2 Melt butter in a saucepan with the onion slice over medium heat. Stir until the onion is golden brown, then remove the onion.
- 3 Stir flour into the butter until smooth. Add curry powder and salt, then bring to a boil.
- 4 Pour the hot sauce over the rice and serve immediately.
