Curried Potato Gratin
Ingredients
- 6 good-sized potatoes, parboiled
- 1 oz butter
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 3/4 pint milk
- 4 tsp fine wheatmeal
- salt to taste
- lemon juice to taste
Method
- 1 Slice parboiled potatoes into a saucepan and pour milk over them.
- 2 Smooth curry powder with a little water and pour over potatoes. Add butter and salt.
- 3 Cook gently until potatoes are soft.
- 4 Thicken with wheatmeal previously smoothed with a little milk or water.
- 5 Simmer for 2-3 minutes, add lemon juice, and serve.
