Curried Meat With Chestnuts And Almonds
Ingredients
- chicken, rabbits, lobster, fish, flesh, or fowl
- onions
- 1 small piece of garlic
- 8 almonds
- 8 sweet chestnuts
- 1-2 spoonfuls curry powder
- ¾ cup strong gravy
- 1 large piece of butter
Method
- 1 Fry the meat (chicken, rabbit, lobster, fish, etc.) with onions, a small piece of garlic, 8 almonds, and 8 sweet chestnuts.
- 2 Place everything in a stewpan with 1-2 spoonfuls of curry powder, ¾ cup of strong gravy, and a large piece of butter.
- 3 Stew gently until the gravy becomes very thick and is nearly evaporated.
- 4 Serve hot with plenty of rice in a separate dish and pickle on the side.
