Curried Eggs With Onion And Apple

Ingredients

  • 6 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 medium English onion
  • 1 cooking apple
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 2 tsp Allinson fine wheatmeal
  • 1 oz butter
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 pint water

Method

  1. 1 Chop the onion and apple very fine. Fry them in butter in a stewpan until brown.
  2. 2 Add 1/2 pint water and salt. Smooth curry powder and wheatmeal with a little cold water.
  3. 3 Add the curry mixture to the pan, simmer for 10 minutes, then rub through a sieve.
  4. 4 Return sauce to the stewpan, shell the eggs, and heat them in the sauce. Serve very hot.
