Curried Eggs With Onion And Apple
Ingredients
- 6 hard-boiled eggs
- 1 medium English onion
- 1 cooking apple
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 2 tsp Allinson fine wheatmeal
- 1 oz butter
- salt to taste
- 1/2 pint water
Method
- 1 Chop the onion and apple very fine. Fry them in butter in a stewpan until brown.
- 2 Add 1/2 pint water and salt. Smooth curry powder and wheatmeal with a little cold water.
- 3 Add the curry mixture to the pan, simmer for 10 minutes, then rub through a sieve.
- 4 Return sauce to the stewpan, shell the eggs, and heat them in the sauce. Serve very hot.
