Curried Bean And Vegetable Stew
Ingredients
- 1 pint soaked haricots
- 1 onion
- 1 carrot
- 1 turnip
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons curry powder
- 1 quart water
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1.5 ounces butter
- 1.5 ounces flour
Method
- 1 Simmer the soaked haricots and sliced vegetables in water for two hours.
- 2 Add salt, curry powder, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce.
- 3 Thicken the mixture with a paste of butter and flour.
- 4 Serve hot with boiled rice.
