Currant Tea Cake
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg, well-beaten
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup currants or raisins, dredged with flour
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
Method
- 1 Cream 1 tbsp butter with 1 cup sugar.
- 2 Add 1 well-beaten egg and 3/4 cup milk.
- 3 Add 3/4 cup currants or raisins dredged with flour.
- 4 Sift in 1 1/2 cups flour and 1 tsp baking powder.
- 5 Bake in a buttered tin or patty-pans.
