Currant Butter Drop Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound butter
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1/2 pound currants
- 1/2 pound powdered sugar
- 1 pound flour
- Blanched almonds, powdered to paste (optional substitute for currants)
Method
- 1 Beat the butter with a spoon until quite soft.
- 2 Add the well-beaten eggs, currants, and powdered sugar to the butter.
- 3 Mix in the flour by degrees until combined.
- 4 Drop the mixture onto a baking sheet.
- 5 Bake until done.
