Crispy Fried Bananas With Lemon
Ingredients
- bananas
- salt
- flour
- oil or butter
- egg
- seasoned breadcrumbs
- lemon juice
Method
- 1 Peel bananas and slice lengthwise. Season with salt and dredge with flour.
- 2 Alternatively, cut bananas in half crosswise. Dip in beaten egg and coat with seasoned breadcrumbs.
- 3 Place prepared bananas on ice for two hours to firm up.
- 4 Fry in deep fat, oil, or butter until golden brown.
- 5 Sprinkle with lemon juice if desired before serving.
