Creamy White Wine Oyster Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 dozen oysters
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp butter
- A pinch of mace
- Whole peppercorns
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 cup white wine
Method
- 1 Plump oysters in their liquor over heat for a few minutes, then remove them.
- 2 Stir flour and butter into the hot liquor along with mace, whole pepper, and salt.
- 3 Boil until thickened, return oysters to the sauce, and add white wine before serving.
