  • 1/4 lb turnip
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 oz potato
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 pint water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. 1 Wash, peel, and chop the turnip, onion, and potato.
  2. 2 Place vegetables in a saucepan with water and cook until tender.
  3. 3 Rub the mixture through a sieve back into the saucepan.
  4. 4 Stir in butter and seasoning, boil briefly, and serve.
