Creamy Stewed Oysters With Paprika
Ingredients
- 25 stewing oysters
- 3 cups scalding milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Method
- 1 Wash oysters carefully to remove shell bits. Place in a small stewing pan.
- 2 Heat oysters until edges begin to curl.
- 3 Add scalding milk, butter, salt, and paprika.
- 4 Bring mixture to scalding point, then remove from heat immediately and serve.
