Creamy Stewed Cabbage With Nutmeg
Ingredients
- 1 head cabbage, washed and quartered
- Salt
- Butter
- Pepper
- Nutmeg
- 1 tbsp flour
- ½ cup cream
Method
- 1 Boil quartered cabbage in salted water until quite tender. Drain and squeeze out excess water.
- 2 Place cabbage in a stew-pan with butter, salt, pepper, nutmeg, flour, and cream.
- 3 Stew for 15 minutes, then pour the sauce over the cabbage before serving.
