Creamy Stewed Cabbage With Nutmeg

Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage, washed and quartered
  • Salt
  • Butter
  • Pepper
  • Nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • ½ cup cream

Method

  1. 1 Boil quartered cabbage in salted water until quite tender. Drain and squeeze out excess water.
  2. 2 Place cabbage in a stew-pan with butter, salt, pepper, nutmeg, flour, and cream.
  3. 3 Stew for 15 minutes, then pour the sauce over the cabbage before serving.
