Creamy Spinach With Beef Jelly
Ingredients
- 1 bunch spinach
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- ½ cup beef jelly
- 1 tablespoon warm water
- Pinch cayenne pepper
Method
- 1 Wash spinach thoroughly and boil in salted water until tender, pressing down to ensure even cooking.
- 2 Drain spinach, plunge into cold water to cool, then squeeze tightly into balls to remove all excess moisture.
- 3 Spread spinach on a table and chop very finely.
- 4 Melt butter in a stewpan, add chopped spinach, and dry over low heat.
- 5 Stir in flour, then add beef jelly, warm water, and cayenne. Cook until smooth and creamy.
