Creamy Sorrel Potato Soup With Milk
Ingredients
- 1 potato
- 1 small onion
- 1 good handful sorrel, washed and chopped fine
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 pint water
- 1/4 cup milk
Method
- 1 Peel, wash, and chop the potato and onion. Boil them in the water until tender, then rub the mixture through a sieve.
- 2 Return the purée to the saucepan. Add the milk, chopped sorrel, butter, and seasoning.
- 3 Simmer gently for 10 minutes and serve.
