Creamy Scalloped Potatoes With Onions

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds small potatoes, sliced thin
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 cup sliced onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon flour
  • 2 cups pepper
  • 2 cups whole milk

Method

  1. 1 Wash, peel, and slice potatoes thinly.
  2. 2 Melt 1 tablespoon margarine in a deep skillet. Remove from heat and spread half the potatoes in the skillet.
  3. 3 Cover potatoes with onions. Sprinkle half the flour and pepper over the mixture.
  4. 4 Add remaining potatoes, flour, and pepper. Cut 1 tablespoon margarine into small pieces and place on top.
  5. 5 Pour milk over the mixture. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium-low. Cover and cook until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.
