Creamy Scalloped Potatoes With Onions
Ingredients
- 2 pounds small potatoes, sliced thin
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 cup sliced onion
- 1/4 teaspoon flour
- 2 cups pepper
- 2 cups whole milk
Method
- 1 Wash, peel, and slice potatoes thinly.
- 2 Melt 1 tablespoon margarine in a deep skillet. Remove from heat and spread half the potatoes in the skillet.
- 3 Cover potatoes with onions. Sprinkle half the flour and pepper over the mixture.
- 4 Add remaining potatoes, flour, and pepper. Cut 1 tablespoon margarine into small pieces and place on top.
- 5 Pour milk over the mixture. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium-low. Cover and cook until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.
