Creamy Potato And Rice Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon water
  • 6 large potatoes, chopped fine
  • ¾ cup rice
  • 1 egg-sized pat of butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • ¾ cup sweet cream

Method

  1. 1 Add chopped potatoes, rice, and butter to a gallon of water in a large pot.
  2. 2 Work the butter and flour together to form a paste, then add to the pot.
  3. 3 Boil the mixture for one hour.
  4. 4 Just before removing from heat, stir in the sweet cream.
