Creamy Paprika Fish Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup fish stock (court bouillon)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon grated onion
- 1 well-beaten egg
Method
- 1 Dissolve cornstarch in milk, then add fish stock.
- 2 Bring mixture to a boil and cook slowly for 8 minutes.
- 3 Stir in butter, salt, paprika, and grated onion.
- 4 Beat in the well-beaten egg to mix thoroughly.
- 5 Heat gently until warm but do not boil.
- 6 Serve immediately over boiled fish.
