Creamy Pan Fried Tomatoes

Ingredients

  • tomatoes, halved if large or left whole
  • 1/2 tbsp butter
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • flour for dusting
  • 1/4 cup cream

Method

  1. 1 Wash tomatoes. Halve large ones or leave small ones whole without peeling.
  2. 2 Melt butter in a broad skillet. Season tomatoes with salt and pepper, then dust with flour.
  3. 3 Cover the pan and cook for 10 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
  4. 4 Pour in cream, bring to a boil, and serve immediately while hot.
