Creamy Oyster Sauce With Ketchup
Ingredients
- Oysters, washed and reserved liquor
- Boiled gravy
- Butter
- Flour
- Cream
- Ketchup
Method
- 1 Wash oysters from their liquor and strain the liquor.
- 2 Combine the oysters and strained liquor with a little boiled gravy, then gently scald them.
- 3 Add a mixture of butter and flour, along with cream and ketchup, shaking everything together.
- 4 Bring to a brief boil, being careful not to overcook the oysters so they remain tender.
