  • Oysters, washed and reserved liquor
  • Boiled gravy
  • Butter
  • Flour
  • Cream
  • Ketchup

Method

  1. 1 Wash oysters from their liquor and strain the liquor.
  2. 2 Combine the oysters and strained liquor with a little boiled gravy, then gently scald them.
  3. 3 Add a mixture of butter and flour, along with cream and ketchup, shaking everything together.
  4. 4 Bring to a brief boil, being careful not to overcook the oysters so they remain tender.
