Creamy Mushroom And Onion Soup
Ingredients
- 2 oz mushrooms, cut small
- 1/2 small onion, chopped fine
- 2 tsp fine wheatmeal
- Pepper and salt to taste
- 1/2 oz butter
- 1/2 pint water
- A little milk
- Toast slices for serving
Method
- 1 Stew mushrooms and onions in butter until well cooked.
- 2 Add 1/2 pint water and cook vegetables for 10 minutes.
- 3 Add seasoning and wheatmeal smoothed with a little milk.
- 4 Let soup thicken, boil up, and serve with toast sippets.
