Creamy Milk Simmered Hominy
Ingredients
- 1 cup hominy
- Pinch of salt
- 1 pint milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter
Method
- 1 Soak hominy in warm water for three hours, then drain.
- 2 Cook hominy in fresh boiling water with a pinch of salt until tender.
- 3 Drain hominy and return to pot.
- 4 Reheat with milk, salt, and pepper for fifteen minutes.
- 5 Stir in butter and serve.
