Creamy Mashed Chestnuts
Ingredients
- Chestnuts
- Salt
- Butter
- Pepper
- Cream, milk, or stock
Method
- 1 Remove shells and boil chestnuts for 10 minutes. Drain and remove skins.
- 2 Cook chestnuts in boiling salted water until tender. Drain well.
- 3 Mash and press chestnuts through a colander.
- 4 Season with butter, salt, and pepper. Moisten with cream, milk, or stock.
