Creamy Lobster Newburg Over Toast

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 can lobster
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup Sherry or Port wine (optional)
  • Toast squares for serving

Method

  1. 1 Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook until smooth.
  2. 2 Add cream and heat through, stirring constantly until thickened.
  3. 3 Stir in the lobster, salt, and pepper. Add wine if desired and heat briefly.
