Creamy Lobster Newburg Over Toast
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 cup cream
- 1 can lobster
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup Sherry or Port wine (optional)
- Toast squares for serving
Method
- 1 Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook until smooth.
- 2 Add cream and heat through, stirring constantly until thickened.
- 3 Stir in the lobster, salt, and pepper. Add wine if desired and heat briefly.
- 4 Serve immediately over squares of toast.
