Creamy Green Pea Soup With Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 lb green peas, shelled and cleaned
  • Water for boiling
  • 1 bundle sweet herbs (or chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • Butter
  • Salt and toasted bread slices (sippets)

Method

  1. 1 Place shelled green peas in a pot of boiling water and cook until tender.
  2. 2 Strain some of the peas and mash or blend the rest to thicken the liquid.
  3. 3 Stir in sweet herbs, salt, and butter, then simmer until well combined.
  4. 4 Serve in a deep dish garnished with salt and toasted bread slices.
