Creamy Green Pea Soup With Toast
Ingredients
- 1 lb green peas, shelled and cleaned
- Water for boiling
- 1 bundle sweet herbs (or chopped)
- Salt to taste
- Butter
- Salt and toasted bread slices (sippets)
Method
- 1 Place shelled green peas in a pot of boiling water and cook until tender.
- 2 Strain some of the peas and mash or blend the rest to thicken the liquid.
- 3 Stir in sweet herbs, salt, and butter, then simmer until well combined.
- 4 Serve in a deep dish garnished with salt and toasted bread slices.
