Creamy Fried Chicken With Green Peppers
Ingredients
- 2 spring chickens, cleaned and jointed
- Butter for frying
- 6 sweet green peppers, seeded and shredded
- Salted water
- 2 cups cream
- Flour for thickening
- Butter for thickening
Method
- 1 Clean and joint the spring chickens.
- 2 Fry the chicken pieces in butter until browned.
- 3 Transfer the chicken to the oven and finish cooking.
- 4 Seed and shred the sweet peppers, then boil in salted water until soft.
- 5 Drain the peppers and add them to the chicken.
- 6 Pour over 2 cups of cream and bring to a boil.
- 7 Thicken the sauce with a little flour cooked in butter.
- 8 Serve immediately.
