Creamy Egg Sauce Over Toast
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups milk
- salt and pepper to taste
- hard-boiled eggs, coarsely chopped
- toast
- chopped parsley
Method
- 1 Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour to form a roux.
- 2 Gradually whisk in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
- 3 Add chopped hard-boiled eggs to the sauce and heat through.
- 4 Serve immediately over toast and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
