Creamy Curried Oysters On Toast
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1 cup cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 quart oysters with their liquor
Method
- 1 Melt butter in a saucepan and fry chopped onion until brown.
- 2 Stir in flour and curry powder; cook until mixture leaves sides of pan.
- 3 Add cream, salt, and pepper; stir constantly until sauce thickens.
- 4 Add oysters with their liquor and cook slowly until edges curl.
- 5 Serve on toast.
