Creamy Corn Fricassee With Herbs
Ingredients
- 1 ear green corn
- 1 cup water
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 pinch fresh thyme
- 1 tbsp butter
Method
- 1 Cut the kernels off the cob. Place them in a pot and add enough water to just cover them.
- 2 Bring to a boil and cook for 30 minutes until tender.
- 3 In a separate bowl, whisk the flour into the milk until smooth.
- 4 Add the milk mixture, salt, pepper, parsley, thyme, and butter to the pot with the corn.
- 5 Simmer for a few minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens. Serve in a deep dish.
