Creamy Corn Fricassee With Herbs

Ingredients

  • 1 ear green corn
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 pinch fresh thyme
  • 1 tbsp butter

Method

  1. 1 Cut the kernels off the cob. Place them in a pot and add enough water to just cover them.
  2. 2 Bring to a boil and cook for 30 minutes until tender.
  3. 3 In a separate bowl, whisk the flour into the milk until smooth.
  4. 4 Add the milk mixture, salt, pepper, parsley, thyme, and butter to the pot with the corn.
  5. 5 Simmer for a few minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens. Serve in a deep dish.
