Creamy Chicken And Asparagus Casserole
Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken, cut up
- Salt and pepper
- Butter
- Flour
- Minced parsley
- 2 bunches asparagus
- 1 tablespoon cream
- 1 cup cream
Method
- 1 Season chicken with salt and pepper, then brown in butter.
- 2 Dredge browned chicken with flour and sprinkle with minced parsley.
- 3 Boil asparagus in salted water until tender but not broken.
- 4 In a saucepan, melt butter and add 1 tablespoon cream. Layer half the asparagus, pepper, chicken, remaining asparagus, and dots of butter.
- 5 Pour 1 cup cream over the top and cook slowly until chicken is done.
- 6 Serve with fried bread squares or toast points.
