Creamy Cheese And Corn Chowder
Ingredients
- 2 cups diced potatoes
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 can cream-style corn
- 1 1/2 cups non-fat milk
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese
Method
- 1 Combine potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, and pepper in a pan. Add 1 cup water, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- 2 Add the cream-style corn and cook for 5 more minutes until vegetables are tender.
- 3 Stir in the milk and cheese. Heat until the cheese melts and the chowder is warm. Do not boil.
- 4 Serve hot.
