  • 1 carrot, cut up small
  • 1 potato, cut up small
  • 1 small onion, cut up small
  • 1 pint water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. 1 Place the chopped carrot, potato, onion, and water in a saucepan. Cook until the vegetables are quite tender.
  2. 2 Rub the cooked vegetables through a sieve, adding a little water if necessary to reach desired consistency.
  3. 3 Return the mixture to the saucepan. Add butter, salt, and pepper. Boil up and serve.
