Creamy Cabbage And Potato Soup
Ingredients
- 1 medium cabbage, shredded
- 1 lb potatoes, diced
- 1 oz butter
- 3 pints milk and water (equal parts)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tsp finely chopped parsley
- 2 blades of mace
- 2 tsp Allinson fine wheatmeal
Method
- 1 Wash and shred the cabbage; peel and dice the potatoes.
- 2 Boil vegetables in milk and water until tender, adding mace, butter, salt, and pepper.
- 3 Smooth wheatmeal with a little water, then simmer in soup for 5 minutes.
- 4 Stir in parsley and serve.
