Creamy Buttered Green Peas
Ingredients
- 1 quart green peas
- Salted water
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Flour
- Butter
- Pinch of sugar
- Grated nutmeg
Method
- 1 Cook the green peas in a minimal amount of salted water.
- 2 Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the peas.
- 3 Thicken the liquid with flour cooked in butter.
- 4 Stir in more butter, a pinch of sugar, and grated nutmeg.
