Creamy Boiled Cornmeal Mush
Ingredients
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 4 cups water
- Salt to taste
- Milk or cream for serving
- Sugar for serving
Method
- 1 Bring 4 cups of water to a galloping boil and salt it.
- 2 Slowly sprinkle in 1 cup of cornmeal while stirring frequently.
- 3 Boil for at least one hour, stirring often, until thick.
- 4 Serve hot with milk or cream and sugar, or cool for frying.
