Creamy Beef And Potato Stew

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs beef, cut into squares
  • 6 oz bacon, diced
  • ½ pint heavy cream
  • 4 oz onion, chopped
  • ½ pint water
  • ½ teaspoon beef extract
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Paprika to taste
  • A few small potatoes

Method

  1. 1 Cook the chopped onion and diced bacon together.
  2. 2 Season with salt and pepper, then pour over ½ pint water mixed with beef extract.
  3. 3 Add the beef squares and cook slowly for one hour.
  4. 4 Stir in the cream and paprika, then simmer for two hours.
  5. 5 Add small potatoes and cook until tender.
