Creamy Beef And Potato Stew
Ingredients
- 3 lbs beef, cut into squares
- 6 oz bacon, diced
- ½ pint heavy cream
- 4 oz onion, chopped
- ½ pint water
- ½ teaspoon beef extract
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Paprika to taste
- A few small potatoes
Method
- 1 Cook the chopped onion and diced bacon together.
- 2 Season with salt and pepper, then pour over ½ pint water mixed with beef extract.
- 3 Add the beef squares and cook slowly for one hour.
- 4 Stir in the cream and paprika, then simmer for two hours.
- 5 Add small potatoes and cook until tender.
