Creamy Bacon And Potato Chowder
Ingredients
- 6 potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 slices bacon, cut into small pieces
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- 1 Fry the chopped onion and bacon pieces in a frying pan until lightly browned.
- 2 Transfer the potatoes, bacon, and onion to a saucepan. Add parsley, salt, and pepper.
- 3 Pour in 1 cup of water, cover, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
- 4 Stir in 1 cup of milk. Mix butter and flour into a paste and add to the pot.
- 5 Stir carefully until the mixture comes to a boil and thickens.
