Creamed Spinach With Beef Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch spinach
  • Salt water for boiling
  • 1/2 tsp Armour's Extract of Beef
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice

Method

  1. 1 Boil spinach in salted water for 20 minutes, then drain well.
  2. 2 Dissolve beef extract in hot water in a saucepan.
  3. 3 Add butter, eggs, and lemon juice to the saucepan.
  4. 4 Stir constantly over heat for a few minutes until thickened.
  5. 5 Pour the hot sauce over the drained spinach and serve immediately.
