Creamed Spinach With Beef Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 bunch spinach
- Salt water for boiling
- 1/2 tsp Armour's Extract of Beef
- 1 cup hot water
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
Method
- 1 Boil spinach in salted water for 20 minutes, then drain well.
- 2 Dissolve beef extract in hot water in a saucepan.
- 3 Add butter, eggs, and lemon juice to the saucepan.
- 4 Stir constantly over heat for a few minutes until thickened.
- 5 Pour the hot sauce over the drained spinach and serve immediately.
