Creamed Spinach On Toast Points

Ingredients

  • 1/2 peck spinach
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 pt boiling water
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3/4 cup milk

Method

  1. 1 Cook spinach uncovered in boiling water or its own juices until tender. Drain and chop finely.
  2. 2 Melt butter in a frying pan. Add chopped spinach and cook for 3 minutes.
  3. 3 Sprinkle cornstarch over spinach and stir thoroughly. Gradually add milk.
  4. 4 Cook for 5 minutes, stirring until thickened. Serve over toast points.
