Creamed Shrimp

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shelled shrimp, broken into small pieces
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. 1 Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux.
  2. 2 Gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
  3. 3 Add the shrimp pieces and season with salt and pepper. Reheat gently and serve.
