Creamed Mushrooms
Ingredients
- 1 lb mushrooms
- ¼ lb butter
- flour to thicken
- ½ pt sweet cream
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- 1 Clean and strain mushrooms. Add butter to a pan and cook mushrooms in it for about five minutes.
- 2 Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms to thicken the mixture.
- 3 Gently pour in more than ½ pint of sweet cream and allow it to boil.
- 4 Add salt and pepper to taste and serve.
