Creamed Mushrooms With Parsley
Ingredients
- 3/4 lb mushrooms, caps and stems
- 3 cups milk
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 onion, grated
- 1/2 cup finely chopped parsley
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 3 tbsp butter
Method
- 1 Peel mushrooms and parboil for 3 minutes, then drain.
- 2 Dissolve flour in milk, bring to a boil, and cook slowly for 10 minutes.
- 3 Add mushrooms, grated onion, parsley, salt, paprika, and butter.
- 4 Heat to a boiling point and simmer slowly until hot.
