Creamed Kohlrabi
Ingredients
- 4 cups diced kohlrabi
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Dash of pepper
- 1 cup milk
Method
- 1 Prepare kohlrabi by removing leaf stems, washing, and peeling the outer skin. Dice into 4 cups.
- 2 Boil diced kohlrabi in salted water until tender, keeping the pot uncovered. Drain well.
- 3 Melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper to create a roux.
- 4 Gradually stir in milk and cook until the sauce thickens.
- 5 Pour the cream sauce over the cooked kohlrabi, reheat, and serve hot.
