Creamed Green Peas With Mint
Ingredients
- 1 peck green peas, shelled
- Salted water
- Salt
- Pepper
- Butter or cream
- Optional: small bunch green mint or parsley
- Optional: 2-3 young onions or 1 tablespoon minced onion
- Optional: little sugar
Method
- 1 Shell the green peas.
- 2 Cook peas in boiling salted water until tender. If using, boil mint, parsley, onions, or minced onion with the peas.
- 3 Drain the peas.
- 4 Season with salt, pepper, and butter or cream. Add a little sugar if desired.
- 5 Serve immediately.
