Creamed Eggs On Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
  • 4 slices toast

Method

  1. 1 Melt butter in a chafing dish or saucepan over medium heat.
  2. 2 Stir in flour and cook for a few minutes without browning.
  3. 3 Slowly add milk while stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  4. 4 Season with salt and pepper.
  5. 5 Add egg slices and heat through, then place on toast and pour sauce over.
