Creamed Codfish On Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 package shredded codfish
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 6 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • toast for serving

Method

  1. 1 Soak boneless codfish overnight, then parboil for 20 minutes. Alternatively, dip a package of shredded codfish in hot water and squeeze dry.
  2. 2 In a saucepan, stir flour into milk. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. 3 Add the prepared fish, parsley, and paprika. Heat through and serve on toast.
