Creamed Codfish On Toast
Ingredients
- 1 package shredded codfish
- 1 ½ cups milk
- 6 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- toast for serving
Method
- 1 Soak boneless codfish overnight, then parboil for 20 minutes. Alternatively, dip a package of shredded codfish in hot water and squeeze dry.
- 2 In a saucepan, stir flour into milk. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- 3 Add the prepared fish, parsley, and paprika. Heat through and serve on toast.
